At Rise Up House, we are committed to protecting the privacy, dignity, and personal information of all residents. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information in accordance with ethical standards and legal requirements.

We collect only the information necessary to provide safe and effective sober living services, including:

  • Full name, date of birth, and contact information

  • Emergency contact information

  • Medical history and medications

  • Substance use and treatment history

  • Employment, school, or sponsor information

  • Legal history (if disclosed or required for residency)

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used for purposes related to your recovery and residency, including:

  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of residents

  • Managing medication and medical needs

  • Coordinating with outside treatment providers (when necessary)

  • Emergency contact or medical situations

  • Monitoring progress in the recovery process

  • Enforcing house rules and guidelines

3. Confidentiality

All resident information is kept confidential and will not be shared with anyone outside Rise Up House staff unless:

  • You provide written consent

  • There is an emergency that requires disclosure to medical professionals or law enforcement

  • Required by law (e.g., court order, mandatory reporting)

4. Staff Access to Information

Only authorized staff members have access to your personal information. All staff are trained in confidentiality policies and are required to uphold them at all times.

5. Resident Responsibilities

Residents are expected to respect the privacy and confidentiality of fellow residents. Sharing another resident’s personal information, recovery status, or private matters outside the house is strictly prohibited and may result in discharge.

6. Storage & Security

All physical documents are stored in a secure location. Digital records, if used, are stored in password-protected systems accessible only by authorized personnel.

7. Your Rights

As a resident, you have the right to:

  • Access your own records upon request

  • Request corrections to inaccurate information

  • Revoke consent for information sharing at any time (unless legally required)

8. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated from time to time. Residents will be notified of any changes.

Acknowledgment

By signing the residency agreement, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Rise Up House Privacy Policy.
